Ski Morillonlogo_morillon

Altitude 700 - 1900 metres

Morillon village is only 5 minutes drive from Chalet Amaryllis, it has it's own nursery slopes and you can ski back to the village. The main skiing starts from Morillon 1100 (Les Esserts), which is a new ski centre on the mountain above the resort of Morillon. It is reached by a gondola or we can drop you off by car (an five-minute drive). Snow record from Morillon 1100 is very good, and well above other resorts of similar altitude. Snow cannons provide a useful top-up early and late season (from mid-April).

Morillon has nine lifts and is directly linked to Flaine, Samoens, and Les Carroz with runs for all levels.

Extensive off-piste opportunities are always available around the Morillon ski resort and surrounding ski resorts of the Grand Massif.

For beginners there are a few green slopes at Morillon 1100 Les Esserts, and some blues to progress on. These all link back to the resort centre, making it a great environment to learn in.

For intermediates, the Morillon slopes are excellent – the long green Marvel run to Morillon 1100 is an easy cruise with excellent signs along the way explaining the local wildlife.

Experts can find some tricky red and black runs above Morillon ski resort.

Skiing back to the resort

Snow conditions permitting you can take the ‘Doina’ red run which winds under the Morillon gondola to the base station, the pistes coming straight into the resort are the green ‘Marvel’ and 2 blue runs – ‘Sairon’ & ‘Charnia’.

Snowboarders and twin-tip skiers have a choice of three purpose built terrain parks.
